It is the beginning of a new year, a new decade, and a new 60 year cycle.
This is a great time to evaluate where you are in life and where you want to be.
What areas of your life are you most happy with? What areas could use some work? What areas need to see big changes?
Life wheel/coaching wheel
I like to think of planning for the year, and/or many years to come, as setting the table.
Who would I like to invite to the table, who is supportive, encouraging and respectful of the path I am on? I want to surround myself with fun, happy, healthy people. Mentors, teachers, friends, like minded people, people who inspire me to grow, heal and follow my dreams, who challenge me to push beyond my comfort zone and look at the world from new perspectives.
Who may need to be asked to leave or not get invited? Judgement and negativity are not welcome at my table. This can be difficult as these people can be family or friends who there is a past with so we often feel obligated to invite them, but if they do not fill your cup they can drain you of positive energy and squash your creativity, trigger your insecurities and make you walk on egg shells, and no one deserves that at their own table!
What will I serve at my table? Healthy, abundant, colourful, sustainable, local and of course delicious, and a wide variety of food.
Supporting local economies and family businesses is important for me and my impact on the environment, if I can grow my food all the better!! Eating a wide range of coloured food can also help balance the chakras. If I need to strengthen my solar plexus chakra I will eat more yellow foods. This is obviously not quite as easy when it comes to the blue throat chakra.
Knowing who will be sitting at the table with me can help me prepare my menu. Are their foods I know are favourites, or are their any food allergies or sensitivities? I wouldn’t want anyone to become ill after sitting at my table. I want to fill my guests with joy as much as they fill me with joy, and show I appreciate and care about them.
Table setting
Are we eating finger foods? what tools do I need to bring? What are my own resources, what may need to be purchased?
I have spoons, forks, do I need chop sticks?
aka like I have a resource of trees in my life but I need more resource of rest and self confidence.
How will I prepare the meal
